The Chosen Vessels is a newly formed group of young adult women of the Seed of Abraham Pentecostal Church. This group
includes those between the ages of 18-25, united by the love of Jesus. Our intent is to grow closer to God. We come together
to be encouraged, challenged, and strengthened by each other. We gather together to experience God’s presence through
relationships, spiritual growth and personal growth. The Chosen Vessels are on a journey to show forth Christ’s love
in all we say and do. “For by this, shall all men know that we are His disciples.”
In addition to conducting an annual retreat,
the Chosen Vessels would like to host other events throughout the year to promote fellowship and spiritual growth. We aim
to work hard to cultivate holiness. College students visiting home are welcome to participate.
We
have been talking about God’s Promises. In October 2010, we made Promise Boards. I asked the young ladies to think about
what they wanted the Lord to do in their life, and, find the scriptures pertaining to that promise. We then put our creativity
to work. We put those scriptures on to poster boards and they are now hanging in their rooms. It is something they look at
everyday to remind themselves what they want the Lord to do. I must say shortly after we made these boards and we told the
Lord we are standing on His promises, and we won’t let go, two of the young women got jobs, one was accepted into a
Masters program, and another is excelling in a class she was not doing well in. God is moving in these young ladies lives.
I am looking forward to seeing what else He is going to do.
